Careers

Working with us means joining a South African team that supports laser cutting machines in real workshops, demo rooms and production spaces. We hire practical people who are steady under pressure, comfortable with tools, and able to work with customers from Wynberg to Durban, Cape Town and beyond.

A workplace built around practical service

LaserCutter CO2 is based in Wynberg, Johannesburg, and our work reaches customers nationwide through demo cuts, installs, operator training and service support. We deal with the real pace of production, from small craft studios to busy makers working with acrylic, wood and leather. If you like solving hands-on problems and want your work to matter every day, this is the kind of environment that suits you.

We value people who show up prepared, communicate clearly and keep their word. Load-shedding, transport delays and tight deadlines are part of the job in South Africa, so we look for calm people who can plan ahead and stay organised when the day changes quickly.

Roles we hire for across the team

We welcome CVs from people with experience or a strong interest in technical service, sales support, training and customer care. Our team includes a Managing Director, Sales Manager, Technical Manager, Training Coordinator, Service Technician and Customer Success Lead, so there are several ways to contribute.

Depending on current needs, we may look for people in these areas:

What the work can involve

Our people work with machines and customers in different settings, from the Wynberg Demo Room to sites in Sandton, Midrand, the East Rand, the West Rand, Pretoria and further afield. Some days are spent preparing for a machine install, other days focus on beam alignment, optics cleaning, cooling checks or guiding a new operator through safe use.

In service work, attention to detail matters. A small issue can affect cut quality, machine uptime or a production schedule, so we need people who notice what others miss and keep good records.

The kind of people who fit in well at LaserCutter CO2

We work best with people who stay calm, treat others properly and learn practical work quickly. Some candidates come from technical trades, others from customer service, training or sales. What matters most is a practical attitude, good judgement and the willingness to do the job properly.

Experience with laser machines is useful, but not always necessary if you have the right foundation and a strong work ethic. We also appreciate people who can explain things simply, because many customers want clear guidance without jargon.

Training, growth and support on the job

We believe in training people properly, because good service depends on more than just experience. New team members may be shown how we handle setup, maintenance routines, customer handovers and support calls so they can work with confidence. That includes learning how to speak to customers professionally, manage expectations and keep jobs moving.

As you grow in the role, you may take on more responsibility in the field or in the office. We value people who want to build skill over time and who take pride in doing neat work, even when the day is busy.
