Book a Demo

Arrange a live machine demonstration in Wynberg, Johannesburg, or talk through remote sample cut options if you cannot travel. We help you see cut quality, edge finish and operator workflow before you commit to a machine.

What Happens When You Book a Demo

A demo is a working session, not a sales chat. We show how the machine handles acrylic, wood and leather, then talk through the settings, extraction, cooling and maintenance points that affect day to day running. If you are comparing models for signage, craft work, packaging inserts or light production, this gives you a clear picture of what the machine can do.

Our Wynberg demo room in Johannesburg is set up for practical tests. You can bring your own material if you want to check how it behaves under the beam, or ask us to cut sample pieces to a size and thickness that matches your job. For clients outside Gauteng, we can discuss remote sample cut options and send feedback on cut quality, engraving detail and edge condition.

How to Book Your Visit or Remote Sample Cut

Use the enquiry form on our contact page and tell us what you want to cut, the thickness, your location and whether you need a live visit or remote samples. The more detail you give, the better we can prepare the right test pieces and have the machine set up before you arrive. If you need to work around load-shedding, municipal site access or factory hours, mention that too.

  • Tell us the material type and thickness, for example 3 mm acrylic or 6 mm plywood.
  • Explain what finish matters most, such as clean edge quality, sharp corners or fine lettering.
  • Say whether you need a benchtop size unit, a larger bed, or a machine for light production.
  • Include your town or area so we can plan for Wynberg, Sandton, Pretoria, Midrand, the East Rand, the West Rand, Durban or Cape Town support.

Once we receive your enquiry, we will confirm the next available slot and advise what to bring or send. If you are travelling to Johannesburg, plan a little extra time for traffic on the M1 and surrounding routes, because it can add up fast.

What We Test During the Demo

We keep the demo focused on the points that matter in real production. That includes cut speed, edge finish, repeatability, smoke control and how the machine handles different artwork styles. If your work is detailed, we will show how small text, corners and dense patterns behave. If you need thicker material or batch work, we will look at cycle time and how the machine copes over a longer run. It is a practical session, not a showroom talk, so you can judge the machine for yourself.

  • Cut quality on acrylic, wood and leather
  • Kerf width and detail on small design elements
  • Extraction performance and fumes management
  • Cooling checks and how they support stable output
  • Beam alignment and the effect on accuracy
  • Basic operator workflow, cleaning and daily checks

Training And Setup Advice After The Demo

If the machine suits your work, we can move straight into installation planning and operator training. That is especially useful for teams who need to get up and running quickly, or for sites where staff rotate and need a simple process to follow. We cover safe operation, basic calibration, cleaning routines and what to check before every shift.

For coastal clients, we also talk through humidity, storage and corrosion control. In Durban or along the coast, a room with good air flow and sensible dust management helps a lot. In industrial areas around Johannesburg, extraction and housekeeping matter just as much. A little attention after each job will save you trouble later, trust us on that.

If You Cannot Visit Wynberg

Not every customer can make it to Johannesburg for a demo, and that is fine. We can discuss remote sample cut options so you still get a useful result before making a decision. You send the artwork or cutting brief, we prepare the sample, then we discuss the finish, edge quality and any changes needed for your actual job.

This option works well for clients in Pretoria, Midrand, the East Rand, the West Rand and further afield, including Durban and Cape Town. If a site visit is needed later, we can help arrange installation support, operator training or a follow up service visit depending on where you are based.

Aftercare For New Owners And Repeat Users

A demo is only the start. A demo is only the start. Many clients later book preventive maintenance, optics cleaning, cooling checks, extraction service and beam alignment once production is underway. That keeps cut quality consistent and helps reduce downtime, especially if you are producing for customers with tight deadlines. If you need a relocation, a breakdown response or spare parts, we can assist through the same support process.

Our team works with makers, workshops and production businesses across South Africa. Mandla Sibiya leads the business, with support from Lethabo Makhubu, Johan van Wyk, Refilwe Mokoena, Tyron Naidoo and Dineo Nkoana. If you want straight answers about suitability, running costs or daily care, we are happy to talk it through before you book. No pressure, just practical information and a proper demo.
